About the Mandalay Canal

Tucked away below streets of the Las Colinas Urban Center, sits a charming waterside destination reminiscent of a Venetian village. Developed by Las Colinas Founder, Ben Carpenter, the Mandalay Canal was designed to be a cozy setting hidden from the highway and parking lots. The cobblestoned streets which line the canal have witnessed the evolution of this idyllic space since its 1983 opening. From its detailed façade and cobblestoned walk to its serene waterway and gregarious gondoliers–this urban oasis continues to inspire visitors with its beauty.
