CANCELATION NOTICE: After careful consideration, the decision was made to cancel the Las Colinas Day of the Dead Canalside Celebration, on Saturday, November 2nd, due to the inclement weather forecast.

We will miss gathering together as a community this year but hope to see you at next year’s event. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Día de los Muertos!

The Las Colinas Day of the Dead Canalside Celebration presented by the U.S.-Mexico Cultural Educational Foundation, in partnership with the Las Colinas Association and the state of Aguascalientes, Mexico will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 2-10 p.m. on the Mandalay Canal.

Experience the beloved traditions of this Mexican holiday under the cultural direction of Aguascalientes, Mexico.Highlights of this free, family-friendly celebration include:

Ofrenda – a traditional altar to honor loved ones who have passed

La Catrina contest – dress up as Day of the Dead’s iconic La Catrina for the event for a chance to win prizes. To register for the contest click here.

Live music and theatrical performances – captivating productions showcasing the storytelling and symbolism of Día de los Muertos

Market – featuring authentic crafts, artwork and goods created by artisans from Mexico

Food & drink – savor delicious Mexican cuisine and beverages available for purchase

Gondola rides – take a ride along the Mandalay Canal for a unmatched view of the celebration
