Last year Americans ate over 4.5 billion tacos! To say they are a staple in the American diet is an understatement. Las Colinas has over 20 restaurants that serve up this fan favorite. Whether you prefer them soft or crunchy or paired with a margarita or ice-cold beer, they are always a good idea. Celebrate National Taco Day this Sunday, October 4th by visiting one of these Las Colinas restaurants.

Bar Louie

Bar Louie may be known for their burgers, but they make a mean street taco. Their street tacos are three corn tortillas stuffed with your choice of shredded chipotle chicken or blackened redfish topped with avocado cream, pico de gallo, cilantro, queso fresco, radishes, salsa verde and fresh limes.

Chipotle’s build your own menu comes with your choice of grilled meat or sofritas in a soft or hard shell served with your choice of guacamole, salsa, cheese, sour cream or queso blanco topped with lettuce.

On Sunday, Fuzzy’s will have $1.50 Baja or breakfast (your choice) tacos all day long. You can choose from beef, pork, chicken, veggie or any breakfast option.

Gloria’s Latin Cuisine

Gloria’s Latin Cuisine is Salvadorian based with Tex-Mex inspired additions. Their menu includes skirt steak, brisket, chicken, shrimp and red snapper tacos. Each meal comes with three tacos and a side of rice.

Hugo’s Invitados celebrated their two year anniversary on October 1st. They have been a wonderful addition to the Las Colinas restaurant scene with their fresh, organic menu. You can choose shrimp, chicken or brisket to fill their house-made corn tortillas (or flour if requested). Each plate comes with a side of fresh black beans and your choice of lemongrass rice, poblano-corn rice or quinoa.

Lupe Tortilla serves all the Tex-Mex taco favorites but the real star of their menu is their ice cream taco. They take a crispy flour tortilla shell and fill it with Blue Bell® vanilla ice cream, bananas, seasonal fruits, chocolate, pecans, whipped cream and top it off with a cherry.

Mattito’s has been in business for over 20 years, so they must be doing something right. Their tacos come in crispy, soft or puffy and can be filled with beef, chicken, shrimp, pork carnitas or brisket. Each plate comes with a side of beans and Spanish rice.

Las Colinas’s newest Mexican food concept has come on to the restaurant scene with a lot of buzz. They recently announced they will be open on Sundays for brunch and dinner. Their curbside fiesta kit comes with all the fixings to create your own taco at home including steak, chicken, veggies, tortillas, rice, beans, queso, guacamole, salsa and 2 mason jars of their classic margaritas.

Nosh & Bottle offers chicken, pork or brisket street tacos topped with onions and cilantro. Their breakfast menu features a Texan breakfast option of corn tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, brisket, onions, red and green chilis, breakfast potatoes and cheddar cheese.

Taco Bell is kicking off National Taco Day with the launch of a gifting platform. The first 10,000 people to use their Taco Gifter platform will receive a free taco to give to someone else. Taco Bell will announce on their Twitter when the free gifts will be available.

Their tacos can come in a traditional flour tortilla or naan bread. Located inside the Texican Court hotel, Two Mules Cantina offers a Tex-Mex menu, outdoor dining and live music on the weekends. Their two taco options are roasted chicken and brisket. All are topped with cilantro, onions, lime and salsa.

Via Real’s Santa Fe style cuisine has been a Las Colinas stand-by for over 30 years. Their Tacos de Res are beef tenderloin tips, sautéed with ancho chili sauce and cheddar cheese, rolled in flour tortillas and served with Spanish rice and black beans.

Walk On’s offers boom boom shrimp and blackened redfish tacos. The boom boom shrimp tacos come with fried shrimp, boom boom sauce, cabbage, jack cheese, tomato and Louisiana street corn wrapped in a flour tortilla.
