August is right around the corner which means it’s almost the end of kids’ summer vacation. It’s time to soak up the last days of summer and make memories that last. We’ve pulled together the best family activities and events in Las Colinas to make the last few weeks of summer vacation one to remember.
Playstreet Museum
Playstreet Museum is open for play! They’re offering both open play and private playdates. Playstreet Museum has interactive exhibits and kids’ activities in their educational play space. Open play and private playdates are by reservation only and they are making sure to take every health and safety precaution. If you would feel more comfortable at home they have several education kits you can pick up or have delivered. Kits include a dinosaur activity kit, slime kit, space kit, eye spy kit, paint your own pottery kits and so much more.
Stand Up Paddle Board North Texas (SUP NTX)
SUP NTX has not only paddleboards for rent but kayaks are now available too. Kayaks come in a single person and two-person watercraft. Everything you need to enjoy beautiful Lake Carolyn is provided to you including life jackets. New to paddleboarding? No worries, SUP NTX offers lessons so you will know what to do out on the open water. If your family is feeling adventurous and enjoys yoga SUP NTX also offers private paddleboard yoga classes. You can even bring Fido to ride on the paddleboard with you so the whole family can come.
PINSTACK
Want to beat the heat and enjoy an indoor activity? PINSTACK has something everyone will enjoy from their LED Rockwall, state of the art bowling lanes to their arcade, everyone will be pleased. You won’t have to worry about dinner either, PINSTACK has a chef-inspired menu featuring local and regional cuisine and they have a private dining area
Las Colinas Parks
Las Colinas is home to 190 acres of greenbelts and parks. From scenic Rochelle Park to expansive Campion Trail, there’s tons of scenery to explore. Grab some fresh air and explore the urban oases of Las Colinas. Campion Trail has ten-foot wide concrete paths that are perfect to road cycle on. If you want to enjoy some great art on your walk or run Flag Pole Hill Park has five unique sculptures made by different artists to marvel at.
Snow Stops
We’re not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet so we’re bringing a cool down classic to a neighborhood near you. From August 4-7, team LCA will be treating all members to FREE Kona Ice at the Snow Stops drive-thru events. You won’t even need to leave the comfort of your air-conditioned vehicle as orders will be placed and received at the Kona Ice truck. In addition to snow cones, the LCA has packaged together a limited number of back-to-school fun packs for school-aged kids.
Take a Staycation

Stumpy’s Hatchet House
Anyone 13 and older can now throw at Stumpy’s! This one of a kind experience is located in the Toyota Music Factory making it a great spot to stop in at before or after eating at one of the many dining options. If you’re worried about safety, everyone must go through training on how to properly throw an axe with a trained Stumpy’s employee to make sure everyone has a fun, but safe time.
Omni Mandalay Hotel Pool
