Drive-Thru Cocoa with Santa brings holiday cheer to all

On Saturday, December 5th, Santa came to visit Las Colinas! The Las Colinas Association hosted Drive-Thru Cocoa with Santa in two-time slots that day, 10 am to noon and 12 pm to 2 pm.

This drive-thru event was broken up into four stops in the parking lot of Jack E. Singley Academy. The first stop featured gourmet hot cocoa, provided by Kitchen 101, topped off with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate chips and crushed peppermint.

After warming up with hot cocoa attendee vehicles made their way to the Irving Cares toy drive donation drop. The toy drive was decked out in holiday embellishments and featured a vintage 1956 Nash Metropolitan Convertible that was graciously on loan for the day courtesy of an Irving resident. The toy drive received over 100 donations in both new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations. Donors were able to enter into a raffle which included four staycation packages:

The next stop was to see the big man himself! Attendees were able to have their photo taken with Santa in a socially distanced drive-thru photo booth created by Social Llama events. The digital photos were captured by Plush Photo Booth and available for attendees to download free of charge.

On the final stop of the drive-thru, attendees were treated to a holiday-themed cooking decorating kit from Special Doughcassions. The kit even included a special nod to Las Colinas with our very own custom cookie.
