5th Annual Las Colinas
Bowl-A-Thon raises over $29,000 for Irving Cares

5TH ANNUAL LAS COLINAS BOWL-A-THON BENEFITTING IRVING CARES

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH

PINSTACK LAS COLINAS

On Wednesday, September 4th, Pinstack Las Colinas was packed with excitement as twenty-eight teams and their enthusiastic fans hit the lanes for the 5th Annual Las Colinas Bowl-A-Thon, all in support of Irving Cares. With every lane sold out and dozens of volunteers, Stay & Play ticket holders, and spectators in attendance, the venue was buzzing with energy from start to finish. Through the generous support of community partners, including the Lane Legend sponsor, Pinstack, over $29,000 was raised for Irving Cares.

The much-anticipated showdown between Irving Fire Chief Conley and Irving Police Chief Miller returned for a second year, offering two lucky teams the chance to bowl alongside the chiefs themselves. Chief Miller’s team, Strikes & Order, redeemed themselves from last year’s defeat, taking victory over Chief Conley’s team, Pfireballs.

As Bowl-A-Thon’s King Pin sponsor, QTS Data Centers ruled the roster bringing in the highest number of participating teams to date.

Teams vied for several coveted awards, including Best Team Shirt, Most Team Strikes, Best Team Name, Most Team Gutter Balls, Highest Individual Score, and the Community Award. With trophies generously provided by Structure Tone, the competition was fierce. This year’s top honors were awarded to:

Best Team Shirt – Crazy Train (Grey Matters to Firefighters)

Best Team Name – Omni Las Bowlinas (Omni Las Colinas Hotel)

Most Team Gutter Balls – Lane Stars (Structure Tone)

Most Team Strikes – ROwl-A-Thon (Roger’s O’Brien Construction)

Highest score (Individual) – Jamal Walker with NDBT Orange Grit (North Dallas Bank and Trust)

Community Award – Dallas County Utility and Reclamation District

While food, fun and camaraderie was enjoyed, guests also participated in the Raffle Prize Drawing sponsored by Neighborly. Over 4,000 entries were submitted for the chance to take home one of ten fantastic prizes including a “Taste of Water Street” restaurant gift card package, i Fratelli pizza party for 30, a golf package for four and more.

The action-packed night ended with a perfect score thanks to the help of over 30 generous volunteers from Irving Cares, Citi and the community.
