The Las Colinas Day of the Dead Canalside Celebration presented by the U.S.-Mexico Cultural Educational Foundation, in partnership with the Las Colinas Association and the state of Aguascalientes, Mexico will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 2-10 p.m. on the Mandalay Canal. Experience the beloved traditions of this Mexican holiday under the cultural direction of Aguascalientes, Mexico. Festivities include an authentic ofrenda, an artisan Mexican market, food and beverage, a La Catrina contest, live music and theatrical performances and more. Dress up as Day of the Dead’s iconic La Catrina for the event for a chance to win airline tickets courtesy of Aeromexico. This contest honors the rich cultural heritage of Mexico through the iconic La Catrina, a symbol of life, death and remembrance. The Mandalay Canal Lights and E.O. Perry Flower Clock are dressed in orange and purple for Halloween. The E.O. Perry Flower Clock is located at the intersection of Highway 114 and O’Connor Blvd. The Mandalay Canal Lights are located at 215 Mandalay Drive and can be accessed from Las Colinas Blvd. and Mandalay Dr. From now until October 31st, drop by to see these spooktacular displays.

The Irving Police Athletic League will host their annual Trunk or Treat on Monday, October 28th from 5-8 p.m. Organizations and families will decorate their car trunks and pass out candy at 1007 North O’Connor Rd.
