Irving and Grand Prairie COVID -19 vaccine hub opening February 3rd

The City of Irving and City of Grand Prairie have partnered to open a vaccination hub at the Theatre at Grand Prairie. The Theatre at Grand Prairie is located next to Lone Star Park at 1001 Performance Place, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Vaccines will be administered by the City of Irving and City of Grand Prairie Fire Departments.

The vaccine hub will be receiving 500 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday, February 3rd. They will operate on an as needed basis when doses become available. Pre-registration is required and they will only be vaccinating groups 1A and 1B. No walk-up vaccinations will be allowed. When the vaccines become readily available the vaccination hub will be open Monday to Friday.

Priority for the vaccines will be determined by the qualifications per the state’s approved distribution process.  Appointments will be assigned when vaccine are available.  The system tries to give people appointments at the hub that is closest to them, but it is not guaranteed you will be assigned a location close to you.  You will not need to show proof of residency to receive the vaccine. You will receive information on the second dose of the vaccine when you receive your first dose.

To register for the vaccine visit the Dallas County Health and Human Services registration portal or call (469) 749-9900 for registration assistance (available in English and Spanish, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday).
