A Special Meeting of Members of the Las Colinas Association was held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 for the purpose of amending Supplementary Declaration 163. In order to hold the annual meeting and special meetings, a quorum must be met by members of the LCA. This requirement ensures that our members have a voice in what’s happening in their community.
We are pleased to report that the amendment passed with 52,966,851 votes in favor. Thank you to all members who took the time to vote.
Approved changes to Supplementary Declaration 163:
Alexander Homes Development Company intends to purchase 22.1 acres from Fluor Corporation. This undeveloped tract of land, located south of La Villita Blvd. and east of Las Colinas Blvd., is governed by Supplementary Declaration No. 163. Prior to the vote, the allowed uses on the property were commercial-related. The amendment to Supplementary Declaration No. 163 adds single-family detached as an allowed use.
Subject to the change, Alexander Homes will develop an exclusive gated residential development with approximately 75 detached single-family home sites. According to the developer, these high-end upscale custom homes will range from 4,400 sq. ft to 5,200 sq. ft and will be designed for a luxury lifestyle with the highest quality finish-outs. The close proximity to Las Colinas amenities, DFW airport and several major highways makes this site very attractive to corporate executives, growing families and empty nesters alike.
