On Sunday, May 29th, the City of Irving is honoring veterans at a Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the Veteran Memorial Park Committee. The program will begin at the Jack D Huffman Community Building, 801 W. Irving Blvd., at 2:30p.m. Following the program, the ceremony will take place at the Veteran Memorial Park at the Wall of Commemoration at 644 Rock Island Road. The guest speaker will be Irving Councilman, Allan E. Meagher and a moment of reflection will be presented by Anette French, a retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer Second Class. If you’re looking to enjoy and learn more about art, the Irving Arts Center galleries are free to view from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, May 27th and Saturday, May 28th.
On Monday, May 30th Hackberry Creek Country Club will host a Memorial Day pool party for their members.
