On Sunday, May 29th, the Ginger Man will host a Memorial Day Weekend Party with food, live music and cold beer. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. with Wrongway Jackson performing high energy current and classic hits.

Mama Tried Irving is throwing a Honky Tonk Hoedown BBQ on Sunday, May 29th. The event is free and guests will be able to enjoy free games of pool, freedom pops, drink specials, a pie-eating contest and hotdogs and burgers.

City of Irving Memorial Day Ceremony

On Sunday, May 29th, the City of Irving is honoring veterans at a Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the Veteran Memorial Park Committee. The program will begin at the Jack D Huffman Community Building, 801 W. Irving Blvd., at 2:30p.m. Following the program, the ceremony will take place at the Veteran Memorial Park at the Wall of Commemoration at 644 Rock Island Road. The guest speaker will be Irving Councilman, Allan E. Meagher and a moment of reflection will be presented by Anette French, a retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer Second Class. On Monday, May 30th Hackberry Creek Country Club will host a Memorial Day pool party for their members. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. a live DJ will entertain guests while they enjoy pool games and a BBQ Chef’s table. The BBQ chef’s table has all your Memorial Day weekend staples including BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese, coleslaw, watermelon and cookies.

Las Colinas Country Club Memorial Day Splash Bash

Las Colinas Country Club is treating their members to a Memorial Day Splash Bash on Monday, May 30th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. While a DJ spins some tunes, guests can enjoy all-American grilling, waterslide, pool games, snow cones and patriotic drink specials.
