On Thursday, April 22nd, kids can learn how to make their own Earth in an online class. Children will make an “Earth Day Collage” by drawing a simplified earth as seen from space on a paper plate and filling it with layers of supplies from the Kid Made Modern Art and Craft Library. LCA’s litter control team helps keep Las Colinas litter-free. You can help them by throwing away any trash or debris you see in your neighborhood or favorite park.

Pick pollinator-friendly plants for your landscape plan

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has a guide of plants that are bee and bird-friendly for each ecoregion in Texas. Las Colinas is in the cross timbers ecoregion of Texas. For a list of plants native to Las Colinas click here. Native plants help pollinators such as hummingbirds, bees and butterflies thrive. If you plan to plant new flowers in your home or business in Las Colinas, please remember to submit your plan to LCA’s Architectural Control Committee.
